Anakao is a fishing village in the bay of St Augustin to the south of Tulear +- 250Km.
The new school (middle/high school cycle) St. Pierre d’Anakao was inaugurated in October 2022!
The school complex, consisting of 6 classrooms (2 financed in 2020), a library and teachers’ room, was built in collaboration with the French association ‘Mitsiky Anakao’.
A great project and a future for the children of Anakao, to prevent them leaving their village to study in Tuléar (capital of the region), or dropping out of school because of the impossibility of moving away from home.
