In October 2023, MITIA volunteers went to Madiorano to visit the primary and kindergarten school run by the Sisters of the Congregation Saint Paul de Chartres.
330 pupils from the neighbouring villages attend it. In general, pupils walk to the school; however, the distance of 4 to 6 km can take more than an hour on foot and does not allow them to go back home for lunch.
After realising that the children were eating outside, sitting on the ground or on a sidewalk, at the mercy of the sun, wind, rain, dust, in poor hygienic conditions, MITIA decided to improve this situation.
For the new school year 2024-2025, the school will finally be equipped with a canteen.
Total amount of the project €33.200 (with furnitures €1.870)
